PEDRO D’OLIVEIRA
Pedro d’Oliveira (b.1971) is a singular artist, from the region of Anadia, Portugal. Despite having a higher education in art and being represented in multiple private and institutional collections, both in Portugal and abroad, he has always kept himself away from the established art scene.
Compulsive and unusually fertile creator, he produces hundreds of variations, in multiple formats, of each theme in which he immerses himself exclusively over a long period of time.
His works, mostly figurative and genuinely naïve, are marked by the imagination of children’s literature, with special emphasis on the dualism that they carry.
In January 2017, the Cruzes Canhoto gallery presented a partial retrospective of the artist’s work, entitled “Para Te Comer Melhor”.
All works exhibited are available for online purchase.
